Rumors about a revamped version of the Bold 9700 have been floating around the internet for some time now, identified as the Onyx Delta at first, there been also rumors about a 9700a device, both supposed to be the current Bold’s 9700 replacement, today you can add another one to this rumors, Bla1ze over at CrackBerry posted a screenshot of a portion of the UAProf document that describes a device identified as the BlackBerry 9780.
As you can see in the screen shot above there is also an UAProf document for the BlackBerry 9700a, this brings some questions to the air, are any of these the Onyx Delta?, Any of these will replace the Bold 9700 or are these new additions to the Bold family?
Both devices share this same specifications:
- OS6 Ready
- 480 x 360 screen resolution
- WebKit Browser
- GPRS/GSM/EDGE/WCDMA
The only difference in specs reside in the wifi support, while the 9780 supports 802.11b/802.11g the 9700a supports 802.11b/802.11g /802.11n
